@vedansh If your account was upgraded to Enterprise you need to downgrade to a free / open source license somehow. Or create a new Qt account. Best is to contact Qt sales directly.

Hi and welcome to devnet, Technically, starting the installer as your user or root is literally two different users. They do not share cache, etc. However, I currently don't know whether the installer caches anything at all when interrupted and it could be an interesting feature that you can suggest on the bug tracker. That said, unless you point the installer to a non user accessible folder, it should work just fine and install things in your home directory.

Hello! Updating from my side. Thank you @SGaist for your answer, for future people facing the same issue: I did not have any uncommon character in the paths more than underscores. My fix: I figured with some help and testing deploying to other folder structures that qmake was the problem and complaining. Placing the whole project one level up (C:\Repos\NewLevel\ ...) fixed the issue and no problem from Qt whatsoever. It is purely a workaround that Qt seems to be ok with. As my version control begins after NewLevel, it is also not an issue. Maybe I will try in the future to take it down one level after some update in Qt, but AFAIK it is not a reported bug. As I said, other machines with identical Project Strcture using same Qt Version and QtCreator seemed to be okay with that. The Makefiles look also the same in terms of relative paths.

@ronron Could you try the link www.qt.io/download-qt-installer for the online installer? That would automatically detect your operating system. In your case, Windows 10 platform. It could help to see that you are downloading the right version, 64-bits.

@suslucoder "QT Creator does not compile the projects" - is not a problem description. Also, QtCreator does not compile anything, a compiler does.

Hola Pues el error no dice mucho. Comprueba que tengas suficiente espacio en el disco para la instalación y que tengas permisos de escritura. Si aun teniendo espacio te sigue dando el error, prueba a instalar como administrador, aunque yo nunca he necesitado hacerlo. Un saludo

First, go here http://download.qt.io/online/qt5/ to figure out the url to the version of repositories you need. For me it's linux 64 bit, so I'd click down into that path until I got to http://download.qt.io/online/qt5/linux/x64/online_repository/. Copy this url into memory. Then, in the repositories tab of the Qt maintenance tool, select "user defined repositories" (see image in the previous post) then to the right of where you have just clicked, paste in the url you just copied. It's difficult to tell there's even a field there, it's almost hidden. When you hit the right spot the url will paste in and you should be good to go. mike
