@jsulm I used to believe that the only way to create a C++ GUI was through Qt Design Studio, as I had never created anything in C++ other than console programs. I've created a GUI in Python in the past with it. However, I stumbled upon examples in Qt Creator that use .ui files. I'm familiar with this approach, having worked with UI and widgets before. I believe I'll continue using widgets since they don't show any errors when the program is executed.
I will close this conversation as I no longer require assistance with qml. If I encounter any further issues, I'll post on a forum if I'm unable to resolve them myself. Thank you to everyone who tried to help me.

When you want to use the operator !=() you have to provide it - a compiler can not simply create the operator!=() from the operator==().

It looks like it's statically building. When I go into the directory, inside the bin folder there is no dlls, when I do the lib /list some.lib, it shows how .obj files instead of .dll files. Weirdly enough, when I statically compile with the dynamic dll version of QT, it compiles fine, although it still requires the dlls.

Yes, that's correct.

Deleting the .pro.user file does not solve the issue. I get the same message.

I don't know then, sorry. Your setup looks good. I'm not using Windows 7 since many years, maybe it's something specific to that version.

@Kevin470 Hi, I have exactly the same problem with you and i also have Trend Micro Security on my laptop. I have been searching this issue for a few days. Have you tried to close the antivirus software? Could this solve the issue?

I managed to solve it by moving an #include (of the class that has the #include "ExpressionEvaluator/exprtk.hpp" in it) that was in a .cpp file to the .h file and putting it before the #include of the class that has the #include <windows.h> in it.

i resolved this. Perhaps someone will be useful. I had cmake 3.24-rc4 and they broke something with it. Here is the link: https://gitlab.kitware.com/cmake/cmake/-/issues/23759

Rolled back cmake to 3.23.3, everything works fine

You have to register the expected Response first!

In my case it was like

#include <QtDBus/QDBusMetaType> // ... typedef QMap<QString, QMap<QString, QVariant> > ConnectionDetails; Q_DECLARE_METATYPE(ConnectionDetails)

and

int main() { qDBusRegisterMetaType<ConnectionDetails>(); // ... }

If you would have posted the whole file, esp. showing the parts you've changed, it would have saved a lot of troubleshooting ;-)

It's also a debugging thing... If you made changes and suddenly nothing works anymore, revert the changes and try to figure out why it happened.
