The only issue is that only a very few people can tell you if eg. a Hungarian wiki article is ready or not (eg. I filled all planned paragraphs with blah-blah like text as a placeholder).

    [ADDED]I am playing the devil"s advocate role here, but I completely agree with the intention to somehow clean up the wiki

    p{direction:rtl;text-align:right} I have tested this, its good but trolls can solve the problem by adding the ability to align the page directly like any normal HTML page, there are ten of ways with HTML but WIKI editor doesn't offer them.

    Most people are not familiar with Textile, and new people find its syntax rather weird. Thanks to PySide bindings you may expect many Python users who are used to Trac, Moinmoin and reStructuredText, but not to Textile. The
and @@ conventions are clumsy.

    The translation is a translation of a base page. If a user want add something i think the best is add to the base page and after to their translation page.
But how long should it stay there? And what if some translator add something to a translated page more than just translation?
Maybe the poll can be create in the future, some user can ask their personal standard for example like 'it_base'. I wait to create a pool.

    No. Naming conventions is not subject of this thread, but only the renaming procedure itself.
    I think naming conventions should be discussed and elaborated (in new thread(s)).

    +1 volker, I think that would be the next logical progression

    I also agree with Gerolf, the links should be maintained (these links are all over the place, in other wiki articles, in the forums...)

    A suggestion was earlier logged in the Beta forum to allow user to save and continue while editing the wiki page, that is helpful.
    But I feel its perfectly ok to have half written articles in the wiki, just add a note what is pending and anyone can go and fill it in ... we already have a few such articles today :)

    No, now he haven't a lock system.
Doesn't the wiki lock a page (for like, 15 minutes) when you start editing it? Or, has it a proper merging system?
Yes, but you know OpenGL, and to me that is black magic, so when you charm me, I can only cry for help in 3 languages. :)

    Well, more on topic...

    I've started translating the initial pages of everything that I could find. I did one or two in Spanish, and all the pages in Catalan right now are translated by me. It wasn't easy or convenient. :(

    I did one or two mistakes, by giving a name to a page thinking that a category would be created, and I screwed that: "http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/CategoryLanguageBindingsPyside_es":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/CategoryLanguageBindingsPyside_es

    I'll try to help to fix it once the wiki purge^W cleanup begins.

    You can link to images somewhere :)

    BTW: i find this questionable in terms of safety and copyright issues.

    @dispeso

    thanks for the hint about duplicated results in searchs.

    @GordonShumaccer
    Dev net is not written in Qt... PHP, if i remember.
    Qt maybe can be used for server pages usingcgi, but is not developed for this and not prroductive.

    I just meant it as that you can freely use that as base of material, so no need to rewrite everything from scratch. No-one can sue one from it.
