Known issues with Qt Forum

Its possibly related to the same unread issue then in that case, we are not sure why that happens but it does depend on the same process to update it so odds are that the cause is the same so once we are certain that is taken care of then we can see if the other issues are solved as a result.

@AndyS The latest status quo for me is, that I get notifications for upvotes and chat messages, but not at all when I'm mentioned.
So I may already missed some topics because after 3 or 4 other answers you likely miss the message that was directed to you.

Have you tried resetting the options in your profile? If I recall correctly I had that problem, but after deselecting, saving and reselecting and saving the notification preferences it sorted itself out. Worth a try ...

@kshegunov good hint. It seems that setting got disabled somehow. I swear it was working before - let's see :)

@kshegunov I have just tried complete reset on mine, we'll see if any improvement....

I stopped receiving email notifications 2 days ago. I still receive (some? all?) web notifications.

I did ("None" -> "Save Changes" -> "Notification & Email" -> "Save Changes"), but I still didn't get an email for a thread that got a reply after that (https://forum.qt.io/topic/107356/ ).
I'll try to subscribe to a new thread and see what happens.

Yeah, working now. Not sure what happened as there have been no changes lately. I will keep a closer eye on it (been swamped the last few days so not been able to monitor things closely)

Indeed, I am again receiving emails.
On an unrelated subject, the forum list given under the "Mark as Read" button is strangely sorted. The International list used to be by alphabetical order. Now it's something else but what ? Maybe by Id and they have changed.

On the favicon issue, I believe that I have found the cause now, we need to update a plugin (we have a fork of one) before I can say for sure, but hopefully in a day or so this will be 100% fixed.

Probably by ID, I checked the order on NodeBB and that is also in none alphabetical order so at least thats not a problem specific to us for once :)

It seems the link function has changed too. All links not starting with
http://don't seem work. Probably they are threaded as internal links.Example: www.qt.io vs. http://www.qt.io

I believe this is now fixed, I am going to give it a day (to make sure it gets passed the automatic restarting) to be sure, but fingers crossed this one is taken care of.

I would confirm that favicon is now back! Thank you.However, I wish I could say the same for vote counting, reporting of last posts in the list of posts, initial font, some posts going walkies.... :( I do realise you do this for love, and probably have other RL concerns to deal with, but there is still a depressing amount since the update to fix.... !

I know @JonB and I am trying to work out the cause of it, the problem is that the information in the DB is correct and somehow it gets the wrong information, but I have not determined at what point it goes wrong. I was hoping it was the Q&A plugin but it is not that so I have to try and look at the source again. Problem is I cannot reproduce it anywhere but on the main forum, I have 2 testing ones and its fine there.
