"This introduction to the model/view concept":https://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/model-view-programming.html in Qt was very helpful to me when I first had to use the associated classes. Also, please start a new thread for each of your new problems. If neccessary you can cross link to older threads.

Qt is both an open source and commercial platform. Many big companies are using Qt. I guess these are commercial customers. Seeing job opportunities in India, I guess there are more openings now on the embedded side, some openings in desktop and nothing on mobile side. I'am more optimistic now regarding Qt. Once there is full support for ios and Android with Qt 5.2, there is a chance for an explosive growth in Qt opportunities. 2014 should be the deciding year.

I don't think so. RedHat is a big distro, I've never heard people having trouble running Qt there.

santhosh: No, the MSVC-based Qt 5 packages do NOT include a compiler. MSVC is copyright by microsoft and the Qt project can not redistribute it, so you have to get and install it separately. Any MSVC2010 installation will suffice, either the free-of-charge visual studio express edition, the full visual studio or the WinSDK 7 should work.

Dear Santhosh, First of all,IMHO,you shouldn't rush, have patience. Using Qt you can easily run your application on many platforms. Here is the "List":http://doc.qt.digia.com/qtcreator/creator-os-supported-platforms.html#target-platforms. Which means, you can compile your source in Qt with no [ or less ] change. You can Compile the source code using QMake on terminal or Your Qt-Creator will take care. Once you go through "how to create a Qt project":http://doc.qt.digia.com/qtcreator-snapshot/creator-project-creating.html, you'll get answer for 3rd question.

I don't understand your question. Please rephrase. Qt and .NET are two completely separate projects

can you show us the code (or part of it)? This line shows the first error. Maybe ByteConverterDialog.h does not exist at all. @main.cpp:3:33: error: ByteConverterDialog.h: No such file or directory@

Well, what I think about this was that you put them all in a single groupbox... Qt thinks that it is a "selection" with only one radiobutton be checked at a time.
