Win 7, Qt installer doesn't work

Installer file: qt-opensource-windows-x86-1.6.0-8-online.exe
OS: Window 7 Home Premium 64-bit

It gets caught on "Preparing meta information download" and shows the repeating progress bar. But no progress is made even after running for hours.
