Hi everyone, I am Emmanuel Katto. As a developer, I'm interested in creating applications that are usable by everyone, regardless of their abilities. However, I've noticed that Qt's current accessibility features are limited, and I'm not sure how to improve them. I'd like to hear from other developers and the Qt community about how we can better support visually impaired users.

    Some potential areas to explore:

    • Improving keyboard navigation and focus management
    • Enhancing screen reader support for different languages and platforms

    • Providing better support for assistive technologies like magnification and high contrast modes

    • Creating a more accessible user interface for Qt Creator and other Qt-based tools

Are there any best practices or tips that you've learned while working on accessible projects? Are there any specific features or functionalities that you'd like to see added to Qt? Share your thoughts and let's brainstorm ways to make Qt more accessible for everyone!

    Thanks!
    Emmanuel Katto

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

Can you be more precise about the limitations you have in mind ?

Qt provides the Accessibility module, did you already check what is available through it ?
