That and others with this "$ text $" are used in PyCharm IDE macros.
So far no valid (PyCharm sourced ) documentation found ....

This is a follow-up on another post, and IT IS NOT Qt question, however , after asking Mrs Goggle I still do not have an answer.

I know what is does - it allows to pass an argument of "any file" , which was originally what I was looking for.

Now I would like to know some background of this "$ text $ " convention - where is it documented etc.
