Qt3D - [c++] Q: When Does Qt3D for C++ Support Real Shadows
-
Hello!
I am using Qt3D to render a 3D Scene with several LightSources.
I am really desperate that my 3D Scene Lighting does not cast any shadows.
I am NOT referring to some older suggestion of how to create a plane shadow map.
Since there are some implementation in openGL that already support realistic shadows.Is there a roadmap for shadows? QML seems to support some features in this regard, and the Design Studio also has a specific Lightsource, which enables shadows.
When can we expect that shadows will be implemented for Qt3D C++?
best regards, Kevin

Hi,
This question is better asked on the interest mailing where you will find Qt3D developers/maintainers. This forum is more user oriented.

The "interest group" seems not to be a serious discussion forum.
I reraise the question.
Is there a chance to get real shadows in Qt3D for C++?It's not a forum, it's a mailing list.
If you want answer to the question you are asking, it's the correct venue.
This is a user forum. It's not particularly monitored by the Qt Company.
