QtIFW replacing repository does not work

Trying to replace repository entries as described here

This is my entry in updates.xml

 <RepositoryUpdate>
 <Repository action="replace" oldUrl="e://_repository"
             newUrl="http://www._______.__/repository"
             displayname="Online Web Repository" />
 </RepositoryUpdate>

When doing an update check from online repository the installation.log shows that the repository has been changed and no error and no warning.

However, repeated starting of maintenance tool does not reflect the change in repository listings.

Anyone an idea?
