I'm trying to send multiple XHR requests, and do something after all of them are finished. I'm simply using a counter to find out when last request was done. Could someone shed some light?? var xhrCounter = 0; for (var k = 0; k < 3; k++) { var xhr = new XMLHttpRequest(); xhr.open("GET", "http://someurl.com/api"); xhr.onreadystatechange = function() { if (xhr.readyState === XMLHttpRequest.DONE) { console.log("xhr done"); console.log(xhrCounter); console.log("xhr increment"); xhrCounter++; console.log(xhrCounter); if (xhrCounter === 3) { console("all finished. NEVER GETS TO HERE!"); } } } xhr.send(); } As you can see from output, it seems like request only works on first loop. xhr done 0 xhr increment 1 I know it has to with async nature of XHR. But just cant seem to wrap my head around it. I'm on QtQuick 1.1 Thanks in advance. UPDATE: It works if I use forEach, instead of for loop. Can anyone still let me know how to solve it when using for loop??
