Our group develops software for a large medical device company with a branch in Cleveland, OH. We're a small group, seven developers and a manager, and we're looking to add a member to the team. We are just starting out on a large project and this is a great time to come on board.

The development with be mostly C/C++, but there will be some .NET and perhaps a touch of SQL here and there. Development will be in both Unix and Windows, and the UI will be developed in Qt. Familiarity with any of these technologies is a plus, but not a must.

What do we need from you? We're looking for someone who:

    • Has a good grounding in software development
    • Can learn new technologies and ways of working
    • Can be successful in a team environment.

Really, that's it. We can teach everything else as long as you can learn it.

Compensation is competitive with other positions in this region, and will depend on experience level and perhaps education. That part is up to Human Resources.

In case you haven't noticed so far, this is not like most job postings out there. Any resumes submitted from this posting will be directly reviewed by a member of the development team, bypassing Human Resources and their pesky applicant screeners. If you feel that you are grossly over- or under-qualified, apply anyway. We're flexible and have room for pretty much any experience level right now.

So respond via email with your resume and a brief description of why this position looks interesting to you. If you want to chat about the position over the phone, include your phone number and a time that I can reach you.

Open the profile of the original poster and click on "send email".

But be aware that this job offer is more than 4 months old.
