Virtual Keyboard for embedd

Hi All,
I am trying to add virtual keyboard into my QT embedded application, I saw in the forums that I should compile and use the keyboard plugin.
In QT source code I have found qnx virtual keyboard only.
I am using QT 5.5 and working on beaglbone like linux target with QT using linuxfb platform plugin.
can you please point me to the relevant virtual keyborad?

QtVirtualKeyboard is available since Qt 5.7 (open source)
Before it was only available to commercial license holders.

Can you give me perspective about how hard it to move from QT5.5 to QT5.7?
