Restart application with session

Hi,
I've read the documentation of QSessionManager and the related QGuiApplication::* member functions but still can't get my application to automatically restart with the user session when it was closed with the previous session...
Could any of you point me to a working example?
I am using Qt 5.5 with a gcc 5.3 toolchain on Windows 10 (MSYS2) and Archlinux (with Gnome desktop environment).
