the new OS X full screen mode behaviour

Hello, does any one how to remove or disable the new fullscreen button on the latest version of OS X?
I used to do this by removing the Qt::WindowFullscreenButtonHint from the window flags but that does not seem to work anymore. I don't want my app to go into full screen mode I want to to just scale as in previous versions of OS X.
Does anyone know how to do this? I would be very grateful for any suggestions.
