Qt job prospects in India
-
For junior jobs i think you should look in local job websites or newspapers (or other media), because junior position are not "globalized"
example: i'm a junior and lets say that i apply for Andre 's job: i'm not in Netherlands so to start work there i require some time to move, even after i move i will have a (longer than a senior) learning curve while i'm not contributing to the project, while a local candidate might be ready to start sooner and he might go for salary a less than mine (if he doesn't have to pay rent and other moving related expenses) there might be many more reasons to hire local junior, but i think i made my point. You can also look for internships - companies usually do those to find good candidates for junior positions (and training is included with internship) also advices for the original post can help you get some experience and that helps you later to get a paid job.

I have a new question, what experience is needed to be a senior developer in Qt?
Regards!!

There are no absolute measures for that. Terms like "junior" "medior" and "senior" are used to indicate a rough indication of your experience and skills, but there are no fixed measures for it.
In my opinion, a developer at senior level is able and can be trusted to make his own design decisions in a large project. He is able to coach other, less experienced developers. He also has the ability to maintain a good overview of what he is doing, how it relates to the rest of the project, and what is and isn't possible given the (time) constraints given. I'd say, you'd need about five years of working experience to reach that.

Thanks Andre, it's a very interesting answer!!

Success in your career![/quote]Exactly! I started off with Qt as an intern in my company. I've been working on Qt for 3 months now and with much help from this community, the people at my office loved my work and they hired me as a junior developer. You can try that too surendar

Hi,
Before continuing this, many thanks to Andre and Zlatomir and all who had given the tips. Really we should check the open source projects, It will surly improves our programming skill as it is the place of those genius programmers who have contributed their great works.
For my Indian friends, defenitely you have to check naukri(www.naukri.com), monster(www.monsterindia.com), timesjobs ,shine and many more.
Naukri and monster are the most popular one in my view. There are a large number of openings for both freshers and experienced in these job sites. Also as Sam told you, GOOGLE is a real friend. Just type Qt + programmer, it will show a lot of openings all over the world.
For foreign search, i recommend you should check, jobstreet(www.jobstreet.com) and monster for countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia , Thailand, Philippines and so on. For Australia, Newzealand, you should try seek(www.seek.com). For Gulf there are Bayt, NaukriGulf, monstergulf and so on.
For Europe and North America, this forum is a very good place to find for jobs. There are others too, but i don't have much idea about this. But it is too difficult to get job in EU or US, as the main problem is getting visa to work in there.
Anyway, we have to try hard to get a call from some company. As a fresher, it will take some time. Anyway the main thing is to
become a "genius coder" by hardworking and so on.
Any way good luck for your job search....Best Regards
