Qt job prospects in India

Hello everybody!

          I'm a student and a newbie to Qt. I really like the framework and would like to start my career with Qt. I'm currently looking for a job and it would be really helpful if someone could tell me some companies in India (preferably Bangalore) who work on Qt and also hire freshers. I'm really looking forward to working on Qt. I'm a Computer Science Post Graduate.

An excellent way to start is to get involved in open source projects. That will give you both experience and visibility, and the nice thing is: you're able to show off your code during job interviews. :-)

   That's a great tip! Thanks. Where do you think I should post these projects? I've made a couple of them but it's just lying around collecting dust.

Some open repository would work, but you'd have to make some noise around it as well. Also, I suggest you considder joining a more visible open source project of your liking.

@ Andre very good advice, i only like to add that contributions to forums can also bring some extra points (and visibility) when recruiters search for candidates.

Also, maybe you'll consider the mentor program from KDE interesting, you can read about it in this "page":http://community.kde.org/Getinvolved/development (scroll down a little), i didn't used it but i think is good to get involved in a really big project like KDE and it's good for them to support new developers that way. If you do get involved please share your opinions later ;)

You should be looking for job sites and consultants, google is your friend.

There was an interview/written test scheduled by Lisec Middle East in Chennai, Bangalore and Pune for freshers and experienced.

Well, I'm a fresher too and it's hard to find openings just like that with the help of Google. Register yourself with some consultancy and see if they can help you. Which city are you in?
