        Hi,

The installer itself might be an x86_64 application.
You can use the open source version of Qt.

That's the role of the installer: provide you a mean to install Qt and related tools for development.

As for the installer itself, I don't have my machine at hand to check the architecture of the binary.

You should download the installer for open source version. I gave you the link to it.
Installer itself is Intel binary, but it installs Apple Silicon binaries.

So, it's really necessary to install rosetta only for the installer? And there are 2 different versions, one for the licensed and one for the open source? Please forgive me for the stupid questions...

Do you mean the installer? There is only one installer. Whether it installs open source version or commercial one depends on your Qt account: if a commercial license is associated with your Qt account then it will install commercial version, else open source one.

Installing x86_64 emulation on a Mac is not a big thing. Hopefully Qt Company will provide Apple Silicon installer soon instead of x86_64.
