I created a Windows app using PyQt6 and copied the completed (up until now) executable to a different pc for some testing. The app started and showed three debug like messages as expected, then displayed the message "addclipboardformatlistener() failed. Access is denied." Thinking this was a permissions issue, the executable was run as an administrator, with the same result. The three print statements should also be replicated in a Log file but the Log file was not created, I don't know if this is related to the problem. I am not using the clipboard knowingly and ran a powershell search Get-ChildItem -Path 'C:\pyqt6*.*' -Recurse | Select-String -Pattern 'AddClipboardFormatListener' -SimpleMatch to find out where the call might be coming from. The output suggests that AddClipboardFormatListener is part of the qwindows.dll file. A Google search showed other people with similar errors had introduced a timer, but as stated I am not knowingly using AddClipboardFormatListener, so that seems a non starter for me. Has anyone come across this before?
