Creating Widgets for QtCreator

I have an idea for a QtWidget that I have to keep creating from scratch.

I've created the same basic design for three different projects now, and I can see this being a useful widget for many other(s) projects.

The gist of it is an indicator/control matrix. I haven't found any library widgets that resemble what I've created.

I'd like to earn my keep and contribute to Qt, but don't know where to begin. I also don't want to bite off more than I can manage. I mainly code for embedded applications with fixed screen resolutions and dimensions (no resizing, fixed font sizes, etc.)
