Record system audio using Qt 6

Is it possible to record the audio being played by an audio output device e.g. speakers using Qt 6 multimedia APIs (on windows)? I believe this is called loopback recording/capture. So far my investigation says it's not possible using Qt APIs directly but I would love to be wrong.
