Stop russian propaganda!
-
I can't understand why Qt Company is not taking any action to remove the russian propaganda?
Not an ounce of regret. Defending his criminal country, he slandered other countries. Moreover, there are real cheat likes.
I also see how they lie, misinform, troll and insult other people because of the wrong skin color and gender. However, I fully support blocking access to the QT Creator on the site for them. Moreover, I support and hope for the complete removal of all russians from the forum, as they are engaged in aggressive lies and propaganda. This shouldn't be here!

Hi @Devshots,
As a user forum, we do not block access to the forum itself. We allow open discussions about relevant topics with anyone who is interested in Qt.
Any comments indeed inappropriate are dealt with by moderators and the team.

I love the InterNet. Never before in human history has it been so eash to brainwash so many, with so little effort. - unknown

@Pedro let me dicklate shitcase.
I understand your stance and, to some extend, support it, but:
on 23rd of February 2022 Russians started a war, killing many innocent people. I think that to honor them with ability to post (or otherwise interact with other users) is:
- deeply not fair,
- (in a sense) showing them support,
- inmoral.
Not to mention that itd be a breeze for forum admin to implement full, unconditional blockage for russian users.

@macfanpl I assume your are from Poland. Poland established sanctions in accordance with EU regulations against Russia (and lifted some in November). Do you really want to sanction more people here than your government and/or EU do for something most of them are not really involved in? And what next: Ban Iranian users for their government delivering weapons to who knows who? Then North Korea, Cuba… When, where do you want to stop? Also I don’t think that your full unconditional blockage is as easy to implement as you think, there are myriads of ways to circumvent geographic blocking (think of freely available proxies in other countries for example).
Anyway, as others have said this is a developer forum and politics should be left outside.@Pedro From my POV this topic should be closed.

This entire thread would be risible if there weren't so many dangerous sentiments expressed in it.
This forum is by and for Qt developers, to help them solve problems. It is not a vehicle for political expression or censure. Blocking users based on their nationality would be not only inappropriate, but also counterproductive. I for one can think of at least one Russian contributor without whose contributions this forum would be significantly diminished.
Please cease using this forum as a medium through with to grind your political ax. If punishing Russian citizens for their government's actions is important to you, I'm sure you can find a more appropriate venue for that.

FYI I am closing this thread; Andy and I do not need to keep repeating the same thing over and over again.
