    Decided to quit my job of the last 3 years. Dept director actually had the nerve to categorically deny me on every issue I said I needed to stay, said how important I am and that they need to figure out how out to keep me there, and then at the end snuck in a concession he expects me to make: I'm categorized as a remote worker and he wants me in the office instead.

    I'd have absolutely no self-respect if I bought into his BS. Planning to turn in company equipment Wednesday afternoon, then walk out. When any company refuses to accept that they need me more than I need them then we're done.

    I guess the plus is that I'll have more time and motivation to annoy people on Qt forums. LOL

    I light my way forward with the fires of all the bridges I've burned behind me.
