    It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

        Your right of free speech does not equal an obligation for me to listen to it.

        Be aware of the Qt Code of Conduct, when posting : https://forum.qt.io/topic/113070/qt-code-of-conduct

        Q: What's that?
        A: It's blue light.
        Q: What does it do?
        A: It turns blue.

          It is hard when it comes to technical content. We get so knowledgeable about things we wonder why "everyone" doesn't "just know" things.

          The part I have a hard time with is things that are easily searched for, or people not sharing code. Its really hard to diagnose wth is going on with "descriptions" of code. The forums are used by non-native english speakers. So often I see terms used that are not the terms I use. This makes it difficult to see what the intent of the code description. However, code itself tends to be a universal language. So a minimal example that shows the problem is very useful. It transcends the language barrier. Often times I will skip helping on posts that don't post code, or I will stop helping if code is not provided when asked for. Troubleshooting in an empty vacuum is not very good use of time.

          C++ is a perfectly valid school of magic.

            @fcarney Well said.
            Nobody in right mind expect perfect communication, but forgetting the purpose of the forum - to solve issues . and let managing take precedence is what i am ( little ) concerned about.

            I see how monitoring for spam became game of moving stuff around on
            a whim. But I have to give a credit - no other tech forum does that.

            Something like
            "...line up alphabetically by size..."
