Example for drawing dynamic wave effectively

I see an demo from qt website:

what I'm going to do is something like this demo. Dynamic data(wave) need to update to screen, The wave is scroll from left to right.
I'm curious what's the better wave to achieve this? Which widget would be the best?
I'm considering to custom a widget for partly update the window, but, not sure this is a good way.

Thanks advance if you a better idea.
