QChart legend not included when saving as pdf or png

Hello,
There is a discrepancy with my chart in the GUI vs when I save it as a pdf or png. In the GUI, it appears fine as the legend is shown. However, the legend is not saved to the pdf/png file.
For the pdf I use the QPainter function, render. for the PNG file, I use grab().
What can typically cause this issue? What should I do to go about resolving this?
