Hey everyone. Today a possible bug happened to me. To identify the probable cause of the problem and prevent other users from going through the same situation, I will report my experience here. I'll submit a ticket in "bug reporter" too.

After many years, I decided to start today to set up a new project in QtCreator. During the initial setup, the IDE indicated that Android OpenSSL had not been found. To correct the problem, I clicked the button to download the libraries automatically and was asked if I would like to overwrite the files that were already in the folder where I had configured QtCreator. After that, all the files in my home folder were deleted, and only the folder defined as "Qt Location" remained. Anyway, I'm currently using PhotoRec to recover files manually.

      Hi @Edcarllos,

that would be a desastrous button then! Thanks for the heads-up.

Here's the link to the bugreport: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTCREATORBUG-24173

And good luck recovering your files!

      Best regards

Qt has to stay free or it will die.
