    Hello People,

I have installed Qt 5.14 with Qt Creator 4.11 ( which is the latest release I suppose )
but the Examples are missing from Qt Creator.

    Platform: Windows 10
    Arch: x64
    Language: Python

I have found a similar question but the difference is that I do not have the Examples folder in C:\Qt
    https://forum.qt.io/topic/84717/examples-missing-from-qt-creator-how-to-install

How can I install examples package for Qt Creator ?

    Thanks!

@sonus89 Did you check whether you have the examples c:\Qt\Examples (as asked in the link you posted)?

@jsulm Sorry for the inconvenience! I solved this issue. I went to Qt's installation folder and opened "MaintenanceTool". Finally I realized that only Qt Creator was installed ( without Qt itself which contains the Examples ). Now I have the examples folder in the Qt folder.

      Cheers!

I will quote my own text:

@sonus89 I cannot express my distaste for "solutions" like this. You figure it out and fail to post the steps you took to get the folder back. The only "solution" you provide is "launch the maintenance tool and check".

@jabroni Please read https://forum.qt.io/topic/113070/qt-code-of-conduct and stop writing rude posts!
What @sonus89 wrote is actually quite clear: you have to install at least one Qt version (not only QtCreator) to get the examples...

Can you please answer though - how do you install Qt? There is no package in Synaptic called Qt or Qt6 or anything remotely like Qt. I've installed every package staring with "qt" and including "example" with no result.

@JohnL53 hi and welcome to devnet,

Which variant of Debian are you running ?
Did you consider using the online installer to get Qt ?
