    Dear all,

I am currently using Qt 4.8.5 which is stable and a proven version for embedded platforms. My platform is TI AM335x.

Since it is an age old version, we are finding difficulty in getting the support and also some of the problems that we are facing, that are already resolved in Qt 5.

So, we are working towards upgrading to Qt 5.x. I believe that updating to the latest is always good in terms of getting the support, or getting smart or improvised algorithms, etc.

As like Qt 4.8 series, is there any particular version in Qt 5x series which is more stable for embedded platforms?

The reason I ask is, Once we update to Qt 5, probably, we will not update it for next 5 years as the product doesn't demand frequent updates of UI development framework.

Can you please help me in picking up the right answer?

    Thank you,
    Kumara

@kumararajas I suggest to take the current LTS version. LTS versions will get long term support.
But keep in mind recent changes: https://www.qt.io/blog/qt-offering-changes-2020
Especially "Long-term-supported (LTS) releases and the offline installer will become available to commercial licensees only".
If you have commercial license I suggest to ask Qt Company directly.
