QT Installer framework - maintenance tool signing with a certificate

Is there someway to ensure that the maintenance tool generated by QT installer framework is signed? I am using QT IFW 3.1.
I did find a bug report pertaining to this. It is marked as fixed in 3.1

I have not been able to find out how to actually do that in the documentation.
I have also looked at all examples for 3.1.

Any pointers regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Is the functionality of signing maintenance tool available to customers of QT IFW 3.1 ?
