    Hi all,

    I'm interested in the level of support for multiple displays on i.MX8, in particular i.MX8M, when using Qt EGLFS backend.
    By reading this article:
    https://www.qt.io/blog/2016/09/19/qt-graphics-with-multiple-displays-on-embedded-linux
    I understand that the best case "[1] Output management is available" is available when using KMS/DRM with GBM buffers.
    i.MX8 SOCs drivers do support KMS, but I see in the sources that:

    EGLFS_DEVICE_INTEGRATION = eglfs_viv

    is used rather than eglfs_kms:
    https://code.qt.io/cgit/yocto/meta-boot2qt.git/tree/meta-boot2qt-distro/recipes-qt/qt5/qtbase/mx8/oe-device-extra.pri?h=warrior

    Does that mean that i.MX8 is currently limited to "[2] Qt applications can choose at launch time which single screen to output to, but apart from this static setting no other configuration option is provided." as i.MX6?

    Thank you,
    Diego

        Hi and welcome to devnet,

        I would bring this question to the interest mailing list. You'll find there Qt's developers/maintainers. This forum is more user oriented.
