Newsworthy for those who have a N950 developer device...

It would appear that a new system firmware update (39-5) is now available over the air. Check your Update app in Settings if the system update doesn't appear on your home screen yet.

    Edit to add:

Make sure that your device has already been flashed to the Beta2 image using the "One Click Flasher.":http://www.developer.nokia.com/info/sw.nokia.com/id/3744886f-69c1-4544-8ad3-72b352b4a832/Nokia_N950_OneClickFlashers_Release_Notes.html (And, as always, back up anything important!)

Updated a hour ago and just 5 minutes ago the phone got stuck, turned it off and now it's dead. Can't even flash it. Any idea what to do?

          Write “Qt”, not “QT” (QuickTime).

I tought mine was dead too, it just showed an recursive static arrow, then I waited like 30 minutes and it started "normally" but everything is slow and my camera doesn't work anymore, I haven't tried beta 2 flasher, but I think it doesn't let you downgrade, does your N950 shows something at all?

Beta2 was quite OK, 39-5 really sucks. My phone is slow, battery is not lasting more then 6hrs without any use of phone (during night). Phone became completely unusable. Tried to downgrade to Beta2 but that bricked my phone (one click flasher doesn't warn that downgrade is not allowed until it erases your phone first!). Only solution was to re-flash using 39-5 firmware from above link. So, now stuck with 39-5 and waiting for new (hopefully) fixed version.

Does anyone else have problems like me? Is there any solution for it?

I don't know of any solution (unfortunately sometimes this is the nature of using pre-release firmware, I guess) but I have heard that the official (non-beta) PR1.1 will be released in a few weeks. Ideally that should fix a lot of the issues that people are reporting.

As I understand it, they are testing it very thoroughly internally before releasing, so hopefully the quality will be very good.

Just an update my N950 is booting again. Didn't need to flash it, I think draining the batterie and recharging did it. But now the screen starts to have rows of dead pixels, but it's still usable.

                    Write “Qt”, not “QT” (QuickTime).
