How to set the codec for reading ASCII file?

    I am using QTextStream for reading ASCII file. Do I require to change codec?

    or

    QTextStream importStream;
    importStream.setDevice(&textFile);
    importStream.setCodec("what is name of ASCII codec");
    
    

    what is name should i need to give in setCodec() for reading ASCII file?

      you can use UTF-8 which "contains" the first 128 ASCII characters
