This is the perfect solution for me, it's simple, and now I can use C++ variables for the install path of my DLL if needed.

Yes it should run on most other windows 10 64 bit. Maybe even win 7.
But there is no guarantee as such with brand new mega patches.
A license would give you many benefits but it's not better to deploy as such.
Good! About your P.S. when you have done windeployqt on your .exe file, then every time after that, if you go into Qt Creator and edit/rebuild your program, then to be safe, you should run windeployqt again.
