      @Richard-L Please give more information: Which platform are you on, which Qt Creator version are you using, what type of project (Qmake, Cmake, ...) and which file system?

        @aha_1980

        I guess it's spam/a bot... the exact comment was posted in multiple topics, all of them over 10yrs old...

          I guess @Pl45m4 is a bot too. Although it's ten years old, still pay attention.
          BTW, I got this problem when I used the latest Qt Creator 16.0.2 on Windows 10, and the Qt is 6.9. I am in Administrator user mode. The Project is Cmake. I'm just started to learn Qt. So the project is the examples from official document, the TextFinder and Transitions.

            @Richard-L.-G. Is the example project copied to a writeable location?

              @Richard-L.-G.

              Copy-pasting the same comment under two completely unrelated topics which are both 10+ years, makes you look like one :-)
              Bots also don't provide any further information and just talking nonsense... like typical boilerplate text.
              "I have the same problem"... etc. etc.

              Since you are human, please post like one and provide more information, so you will get actually helpful support.

              Edit:
              Just noticed, you created another account?!
              @Richard-L and @Richard-L.-G. . ?!

              Wth, I can't even tag the 2nd account properly because of the whitespaces and the dots...

                @Pl45m4 Yeah. Because previous one was banned, you know. It's great I can use this account again. I reinstalled Qt last night. But it still doesn't work. I will post the more details later.

                  @aha_1980 I'm very appreciated that you can help. I used the Windows "Steps Recorder" to record the steps of my operations. My Windows is Chinese Edition, and can not set the other display language, so I used AI translate the Chinese text to English in another file. Please help to find out something. Thanks.

                    @Richard-L Sorry I don't use Windows and don't know how to open that file. What I read from your transcript is, that you want to add a resource file and that fails.

                    I tried to reproduce that and for me it worked.

                    Most likely your Anti-Virus is to blame. Can you try to disable it?

                      @aha_1980 Yes, maybe you are right. I tried on another same OS. It worked. It has no Anti-Virus software. Thank you anyway. :)
