QTCreator 14.0.1, every 4 seconds the Windows blue ring wait cursor spins for a second. It happens even if I don't have a project open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled on a fast SSD, still the same. Doesn't happen in any other program. Any ideas?

@Paul-Webster To verify, I assume Task Manager shows Creator is eating CPU time?

@JonB Not a lot of CPU time, 0.00 to 0.1% when no project open.

I disabled from Startup Apps all of the software that I have installed recently and that has fixed it.

The problem reoccurred so was not fixed. I ran a latency checker app that suggested that my Windows 11 power options, set at balanced, were causing the interrupts. I have now set the machine to high performance power plan which appears to have done the trick.
