    Hi guys,

I know the Qt Designer never was very stable but currently it is nearly unusable.

    • I'm working on linux
    • QtCreator 12.0.2
    • Qt 5.15.2 Project

If I change something in 2D-View and deselect the the modified component, QtCreator is crashing with a null pointer.

I also tried it on my Mac. Same result

      Hi,

What you are describing is not clear.

Can you share a step by step guide on how to trigger this issue ?

@themts Just so you know, I have been asking about what sounds like the same problem for some time now. Now Manjaro support has given me clear steps and I will try them. Hopefully I will get somewhere. Apologies if it isn't the same, but you can take a look:

@themts said in QtCreator Designer crashing constantly:

Qt Designer never was very stable

Qt Designer is solid as a rock. It only has a "2D-View".
Perhaps you mean Qt Design Studio; the stability of which I cannot comment on.

I would first try the same activity in Qt Design Studio outside of Qt Creator to see if the crash is in a component of this software rather than Qt Creator.
