Wiki vs. Qt Reference Documentation pages
-
While thinking about what to translate into Hungarian (and possibly what to contribute on my own) I actually became more uncertain as I read through the existing wiki pages. As it has already been discussed in another thread "here":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/2361/ it makes not too much sense to copy the existing documentation but I would add it also makes not much sense to reinvent the wheel, ie. to work on topics that are either already covered by the "official docs":http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/index.html - or will be covered soon. It is especially true for tutorials, getting started guides and the likes, including howto
s. My question/idea is therefore the following: is there a way to somehow cooperate with the writers of the Qt Reference Documentation to the extent of at least knowing what topics they are working on? With special attention to the said tutorials, howto
s and similar materials. -

BTW I started translating some parts into "Albanian language":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/groups/qt_kosova_albania/wiki and I've written some on my own, especially I wrote topics on Model/View Programming etc.

That's exactly one of the things that has been worrying me this month. While reading the Qt docs about Quick, I found many times that I could suggest a change here or there, or that I could contribute a new tutorial. But helping there is kind of difficult without knowing the feature plan for the next release.
The good news is that this will be addressed once the open governance model starts, but it requires some time (it will happen before 4.8, though).
