Hi, I have been doing a HMI interface on Linux. I found the Snap7 library but don't works fine, is there any way to connect S1200 PLC by QTcpSocket (or something similar) and read a specific DB or input?.
I 'm new and some example would be very helpful for me.

Do you have any documentation on how to communicate with a PLC S1200 (preferably links that you can share here)? If it supports TCP communication, you more than likely can communicate with it using QTcpSocket.

It looks to me that the Siemens S7-1200 device uses PROFINET. There is a protocol implemented on top of IP with either UDP or TCP. While you should be able to connect using a QTcpSocket (or QUdpSocket), most of the work will be in the protocol. That is what Snap7 provides.

Generic Qt networking examples should be enough to cover establishing TCP/UDP communication. Implementing the S7 protocol is definitely well outside the scope of Qt forum.

@AlexisLara19 said in QTcpSocket to PLC S1200:

          but don't works fine

          What are the issues?
The problem is that you cannot use it with Qt?
Are you able to use it standalone?
