Once it was easy
-
For several years I used and encouraged my students to use Qt Creator combined with MinGW.
I told them that this is a fine, platform independent system to start programming, and not only
for Windows. They are studying mechatronics and I told them, they might even install the software
created without OS.
And I told them to get the installer file and just execute it ...
Because I think it is not necessary to allways use the freely available Visual Studio. Now I thougt it would be a nice thing to go for a new version.
Now you need an account. Now you have to separately install MinGW.
Good bye Qt. Hello Microsoft!

- You don't need an account. Just click "Skip" if you don't want to sign in.
- You can install MinGW from the Qt Installer directly.
Note: Having an account is useful as it lets you post in this forum to ask for help.
Once it was easy
