Thrive in ambiguity and can hit the ground running:
Looking for solid C++ w/ Qt background (4+ years) and some QML exp. Can’t be afraid of open source codebases and building things that haven’t been thought of before. Be prepared to jump into the deep end of a muddy pool and navigate an ever changing current.Collaborative and Self-Aware:
You understand what it takes to have a collaborative engineering culture. You will work closely with several other engineers and be able to showcase your innovative architecture/approach as well as be able to stand up and let your opinion be heard.Organized and communicative:
You code for stability, efficiency and clarity. Utilizing Github for source control and JIRA to organize your tasks and provide robust documentation on your thoughts processes of coding approaches. The less people know, the more they yell so be your champion of your designs.What you’ll do:
First, let’s be clear, you will be building really cool stuff that has the potential to help hundreds of thousands of people (how is that for impact!)
Primarily, you will be responsible for adding new features and functionality to open source software and integrating that code with a streamlined and intuitive user interface that is an extension of the AirMap UTM platform.Bonus Skills:
You have experience with mapping technologies (Mapbox preferred) and handling geospatial data.
You have experience building applications on Linux (CentOS).
You have experience in mobile development.
You have experience with open source drone mission planning software.
You’ve worked in a distributed environment that values asynchronous communication.
