If its possible to work as freelancer offshore, then why passport is required. Does it need full time to be on-site or ocassional visit.?

@yellowlemontree2014 Hi. Offshore is not mentioned anywhere in the post. Onsite is mentioned twice. The work should be completed full time onsite at the customer location.
