    Hi all,

I am not sure if this is the right section for that.

Is there a possibility to avoid these annoying spam entries by these strange random-character users? It's really hard to go through unread messages with all these posts :)

Well, not opening them is the easiest way to avoid them :)

But seriously, that Korean spam is a real problem. It seems that it is actual humans who go through the registration process and then spam. I can not see how that makes sense, but that is what it looks like (all the normal signs of a bot are missing).

We do block and delete as best as we can, but as it is humans it is really hard.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the moderators are really doing a good job of cleaning up the spam.
Thank you to any moderator who happens to read this :)

Well must be very boring there so some have no other things to do than post such stupid things :)

            I really don't understand it.

I can see how someone who is really poor in rural Indonesia or China or somewhere might think it is a way to make some money, but Korea has a high income level and working social infrastructure, so spamming should not be a working profession.

Also we don't have that many Korean readers. which makes the spam double weird.

Anyway working on trying to fix the issue.

@tekojo It's especially annoying since my browser (chrome) seems to have problems with the Korean characters and thus gets really slow once such a posting appears. And the more there are the worse it gets.

@Wieland I haven't noticed that. I mostly wander around here with Chrome.
Will have to keep an eye on performance difference with character sets.
