Example of using applicationIconBadgeNumber() on Mac

Can someone provide an example of how to use setApplicationIconBadgeNumber ?

Also is there any similar solution for windows, so I can inform the user that whatever operation he wanted to do has finished.

Just call QtMac::setApplicationIconBadgeNumber(12);

That is the first thing that I tried, but it seems that I had to include <QtMacExtras> and not <QtMac> as I was doing. Basically the reason for the confusion was the fact that I stumbled first here.

But by the way, I still have not solved the second part (and I did read about windows extras).
Have you noticed that sometimes when a window in... well Windows, wants to notify you about something its task bar icon glows orange?
Can I do that in Qt?
