Hey! Thanks for your reply! Yes, I downloaded the source code for Qt6.4.0 beta. Compiled it with support for "text to speech". In the new version there are more "engines" for "text to speech". And a few more features. But the speech did not get better. I suspect that the operating system's underlying capacity for speech synthesis does not work as well on Linux as on Windows. It's just my speculations. But Qt version 5.15.5 (the latest version available as open source) gave better sound than version 5.15.2. A better and more natural pronunciation. I thought. I need to learn more about how operating systems handle speech synthesis.

I've updated the website https://www.canonic.com to make it into a html landing page and moved the actual app to https://app.canonic.com. Hopefully now if you are on a platform or browser with less than stellar WASM support (MacOS / mobile) you can now at least view the website to see what Canonic is about. A user over on r/browsers suggested I turn it into a progressive web app (PWA) so that it can actually be installed which may be the next move. It would save me a lot of work dealing with sandboxing, at least for now. I'm not sure if Qt users would see that as heresy though :) Various other bug fixes and performance changes have also been made.

Project looks dead, cool idea though. Someone else recently made a version that runs in the browser: https://www.canonic.com/

@VRonin said in Covid19IndiaApp: A chart that I don't see around at all but I consider very useful is something like: https://aatishb.com/covidtrends/ but in the x axis I'd use the "currently active" cases. It shows clearly how explosive is the trend without considering time as a variable Yes, good idea. That shows the power/intensity of growth (beta in the eq below): [image: gif.latex?%5Cfrac%7BdN%7D%7Bdt%7D%20%3D%20N%5E%7B%5Cbeta%7D]
