<![CDATA[QtDesigner - How to add a submenu to a menu in the menu bar?]]>Using QtCreator 4.6.2 and Qt 5.11.1 on Linux Ubuntu 18.04.1, it doesn't seem possible to add a submenu to a top-level menu item using the Form Designer. I can only add QAction menu items, but no submenus that open up a new list of items.

Is there a way?

Hello, please try the following:

  1. Add a new menu entry
  2. Click on the blue plus icon at the right side of this new entry

At least that's how it works for me :)

I had to read this 8 years later to figure how to do it! I tried reading the Designer help but couldn't even find this (is it documented somewhere?), or much else on how various things in Designer actually work....
